Cudjoe Welder

October of 2006 we took an 8 week old Yorkie to Marathon Vet Hospital at 2 AM and he was diagnosed with Parvo. ALL OF THE STAFF worked with this dog to save his life. We understood that their was no guarantee and the extensive treatment might not work. But with the diligence of the staff at MVH and our nursing him back to health he made a full recovery.

Late January of 2007 my wife fell asleep at 2 AM in a queen size bed with a candle burning on a small table that is actually part of the headboard. The wax in the candle burned away, caught the container on fire, caught a book under on fire and caught the oak table on fire. At 4 AM our Yorkie pup that was in bed with my wife licked my wife's face until she woke up. My wife grabbed the burning debris and threw it in the master bath. With my wife's hands burned we could not help but laugh at the pup running through the house. The fire was out in seconds but the dog ran through the house for an hour. Until that night the dog had never even seen fire.

My wife suffered second degree burns to her hands but it could have been far worse. It's funny how things work out. We are firm believers in that, "What goes around comes around." We saved Cudjoe's life and he saved ours.

Our thanks go out to Dr.Kristin, Melissa, Lindy and all of the staff at Marathon Vet Hospital.
