| Geraldine Diethelm is of Swiss nationality. She was born and raised in Hong Kong, after which she moved to Switzerland and studied veterinary medicine. Dr. Gerry was accepted at the Washington State University to attend an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. After this she gathered information for her thesis on Iguana Anesthesia at the Long Beach Animal Hospital in California. She worked at the Marathon Veterinary Clinic with Dr. Jim Greene for almost two years before purchasing the practice and becoming the new owner of the new Marathon Veterinary Hospital. Apart from her obligations at work, Dr. Gerry also donates time and materials to the Wild Bird Center run by Kelly Grinter. | |

DOUGLAS R. MADER, MS, DVM, DIPLOMAT ABVP INTERNAL MEDICINE SPECIAL PROCEDURES SURGERY EXOTIC ANIMALS |
Dr. Mader was born in the upper Keys. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of California, Davis in 1986. After graduation Dr. Mader completed a residency in Primate and Zoo animal medicine. During his veterinary and residency training Dr. Mader's areas of special interest were in the pharmacology of antibiotics in exotic pets. While living in Southern California, he owned a small animal/exotic practice for 9 years. Dr. Mader is the
consulting veterinarian for the Key West Aquarium, the Marathon Sea
Turtle Hospital and the Monroe County (Sheriff Animal Farm) Zoo. Dr.
Mader is an internationally acclaimed expert in Veterinary Medicine
and travels over 50,000 miles every year teaching at Veterinary Conferences,
Veterinary Schools and Specialty courses. Dr. Mader is also on
the review boards of several scientific journals. He has published
numerous articles in scientific and veterinary journals, national magazines,
newspapers, book chapters and is the author/editor of the Saunder's
publication Reptile Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Mader is a Fellow in the Royal Society of Medicine. |

Dr. Kristin Hall |
Dr. Kristin
Hall grew up in North Carolina, where she
attended North Carolina State
University. There she received a Bachelor's
degree in Animal Science and
a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Her
interests vary from small animal Oncology (cancer medicine) to
Reptile medicine and surgery. Dr.
Hall has several pets of her
own, including 2 retired racing Greyhounds, lizards, turtles, and
a duck. Dr. Hall joined
the staff of the Marathon Veterinary Hospital in June
2004.

| Dr Alissa Raymond was born and raised in Massachusetts. She attended the University of Massachusetts where she received her Bachelors degree in Animal Science. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University. Dr Alissa’s professional interests include exotic animal medicine and dermatology. Dr Alissa moved to the Keys in July 2005 with her husband Robert, dog, cat, two birds and two turtles. Robert Raymond, Alissa's husband, is the music director at Marathon High School. | |

Dr. Earl T VanBuskirk |
| Dr. Earl T VanBuskirk was born and raised in Washington State. He attended Washington State University where he received his bachelors of Science degree in zoology. He then went on to receive a doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University. He then decided it was time to move to a warmer climate and found a place here at the Marathon Veterinary Hospital. | |
